FY!! My husband is a taxi driver and the information in this article is, unfortunately incorrect. The surcharge for this weekends EDC is $40 and $60 per trip, NOT per person. Please consider using a cab instead of Uber or Lyft for this event. My husband estimates that the total trip charge to the speedway, to or from, let's say the MGM will be approximately $70 plus the $40 or $60 surcharge. Considering that a taxi can accommodate anywhere from 4-6 people, this is a much more economical choice than other ride share platforms. Thanks for listening.A taxi driver wife.
